Description
Chrysler Plymouth sign mounted on an oil derrick style platform. The sign is 75 feet tall and was constructed to attract business from the nearby US Rt 66. This business was built in 1947 at Bristow, Oklahoma and closed in 1953 when a newly constructed turnpike diminished traffic through town. Originally built and operated as Beard Motor Company. The building and sign are currently on the list of National Historic Landmarks in America. Image has an icy grunge look to offer different twist of vintage. Excellent choice for collectors of post WW II Americana.
